Double Creek Farm is twice the farm and twice the fun. During October it is an adorable Pumpkin Patch. Then it is also a Choose and Cut Christmas Tree Farm during November and December that is perfect for pictures. They have Hayrides, a Gift Shop, a Playhouse, Fort, Sandbox, Bounce House, Games, Fire Pit (weather permitting) and even Duck Races. Polk County Memorial Museum is one of the finest small museums of local history anywhere. The museum has some new exhibits of Native American artifacts and some regularly open exhibits of local history. Feel free to contact the museum to plan school outing, family travel stops, or just stop by during normal open hours. Have fun experiencing some of the past in this hidden gem of a history museum. They have permanent and temporary exhibits throughout the year. This museum sits just outside the Historical Main Street District and is perfect to add to a fun outing around town.

Tempe Creek Vineyard & Farm is one of the go-to weekend meet up places for locals and visitors. This is a winery, vineyard, and event venue. They are a member of the Sam Houston Wine Trail, but guests do not have to be on the trail to have a good time. Heritage Park

Heritage Park is located off 190 in the middle of town where it sits just outside the Historical Main Street District. It is the proud home of Locomotive #5 & Jonas Davis Log Cabin. These two pieces of history and this park are kept up by the Polk County Heritage Society, the same people responsible for the Christmas Train Village the town enjoys every year. This park has a picnic area for a nice lunch and is a State Historical Marker. Heritage Park is a favorite place for locals and visitors alike to take pictures. It also has the Polk County Memorial Museum sharing a fence line, so just around the corner there is even more to see. Come enjoy these little pieces of history located in the middle of town and get a picture with the past in the present.

Across The Tracks is located in the Historic Downtown Main Street District of Livingston. This live music venue is right across the railroad tracks from the courthouse and Main Street. They have been having “Live, Local Music” since 2015. Across the Tracks has a BYOB attitude and is a non-smoking/vaping facility. They normally have some basic non-alcoholic beverages for sale during shows and have a unisex bathroom. People also bring in some of their favorite to-go food from places like El Burrito Mexican Restaurant to turn the night into a full dinner and a show. Tickets are available at the door. Seating is limited though, so call ahead to reserve a table for a fun night out with a group of friends or family.
