If you are looking for resorts near Houston for couples, Two Creeks Crossing Resort is an easy place to plan two nights away. We are about an hour and a half from Houston, with cabins, yurts, and resort activities along Kickapoo and Rocky creeks near Lake Livingston. Choose a place that suits the two of you, leave a little room in the weekend, and make time for each other.
For some couples, that means a yurt with a deck and a quiet morning over coffee. For others, it means a cabin with a private hot tub, an afternoon in the water, or music at Swampers Icehouse. Here is how to build your weekend around what you enjoy.
Choose the stay you will enjoy coming back to
Your accommodations set the mood for the trip. Think about the morning as well as the evening: where would you like to drink coffee, how much space do you want, and which comforts matter most?
The Love Shack for a yurt stay for two
Our Love Shack Y2 sleeps two, with a queen bed, a private bathroom, and a kitchen. The dome-shaped yurt has heating and air conditioning, a walk-in shower, double sinks, and an outdoor deck with seating and a gas grill.
There is no TV, and Wi-Fi and cell connectivity in our yurts are limited. If you would enjoy setting the phones aside for a while, that makes room for a book, a conversation, or an unhurried meal. Download anything you need before arrival and take care of essential messages before settling in.
Explore The Love Shack yurt if you want a cozy place designed for two guests. Bring breakfast ingredients and make the first morning easy.
Crawford Cabin for your own outdoor hot tub
Crawford Cabin is a restored log cabin with two bedrooms, a full kitchen, heating and air conditioning, and a private outdoor hot tub. It accommodates up to six guests, but a couple can reserve it for the extra space and that private hot tub.
The kitchen gives you the option of a simple dinner at home, and the cabin has a grill for outdoor cooking. Plan a meal you like making together, then leave the rest of the evening open.
See Crawford Cabin if a private hot tub is high on your weekend wish list. It is a specific feature of this cabin; our shared resort hot tub is a separate amenity.
A waterfront cabin for porch time
Our waterfront cabins have private porches overlooking Kickapoo or Rocky Creek, with kitchens, bathrooms, and climate-controlled interiors. A cabin by the water is a lovely choice if you picture spending part of the trip sitting outside together.
Sweetgum C14, for example, has a king bedroom, a sleeper sofa, and a back porch overlooking Rocky Creek. Its four-person capacity gives a couple comfortable room without requiring a larger party.
Give Friday evening an easy beginning
Rental check-in starts at 3 p.m. Arrive with groceries for breakfast and any dinner you want to prepare, unpack, and take a walk before deciding how to spend the evening.
Swampers Icehouse serves food and drinks during its opening hours, so it can be part of your first night. If live music is scheduled, enjoy a set together. Check the entertainment calendar when choosing dates if music is one of the reasons you are coming.
Prefer a quieter evening? Have dinner at your accommodations and enjoy the porch or deck. You do not need to fit every resort activity into the first few hours. A relaxed arrival leaves Saturday feeling like a full day away.

Let Saturday follow the season
Start with coffee and breakfast, then choose one activity you both want to do. Keeping the day lightly planned gives you time to stay longer when you find a spot you like.
From May through October, Blue Bayou Bend adds a lazy river, cabanas, a splash pad, and a swim-up bar to the resort. Float together during operating hours or rent a cabana if you would like a place to relax between swims. Early May has limited opening days, and cabana rentals are additional to your overnight stay.
During November through April, Blue Bayou Bend is closed. Our separate resort pool and hot tub have a year-round schedule, and the creeks remain part of the setting. A walk along the water followed by time at your cabin or yurt makes an easy cooler-season afternoon.
If you enjoy fishing or paddling, ask our team about available rentals and water conditions during your visit. For a first paddle, choose calm conditions and bring the safety equipment you need. You can also keep your water time on shore and enjoy the view from the docks.
Come evening, cook together or visit Swampers when it is open. From November through April, its regular schedule is Friday afternoon and evening and Saturday from late morning through evening. That makes a two-night weekend a convenient choice for couples who want an Icehouse visit as part of the trip.
Pick the atmosphere that suits you
Two Creeks welcomes couples, families, and friends. We are a family-friendly resort, and shared amenities can be lively when children are swimming or music is playing. If you are looking for an adults-only property, that is a different type of stay.
Here, you can enjoy the shared resort atmosphere and return to your own rental when you want time together. The Love Shack’s deck, a waterfront cabin’s porch, or Crawford’s private hot tub can become the part of the weekend you look forward to most.
Resort quiet hours are 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. Choose your accommodation first, then ask our team about its location and the activities scheduled for your dates. Knowing the setting helps you book the weekend you have in mind.

Leave Sunday morning for one more coffee
Rental checkout is at 10 a.m. Pack most of your bags the night before so the morning has room for breakfast and a few more minutes outside.
Our rental accommodations have a two-night minimum, which works well for a Friday-to-Sunday trip. You get a full Saturday together without spending it checking in or packing to leave. For an anniversary, a birthday, or a weekend you simply need, that extra breathing room can make the trip feel complete.
